Rep. Shalala Named to Inaugural Class of Government Hall of Fame

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Government Executive Media Group announced that Rep. Donna Shalala (FL-27) has been named to the Government Hall of Fame. In addition to Rep. Shalala, other members of the inaugural class include Clara Barton, Theodore Roosevelt, Frances Perkins, Colin Powell, and the Apollo 11 astronauts, among others.
“I am very humbled to be listed among this illustrious group of public servants,” said Rep. Shalala. “Public service is both a challenge and a privilege. It has been the honor of my life to be able to serve the country that I love. I am looking forward to more years of public service and continuing to help to improve the lives of people in my community and across the country.”
